Refund policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
If Pro or Team is not right for you, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a payment. This policy explains how refunds work for subscriptions and API credits, and how to ask for one.
1. Overview
This policy applies to payments for Perspicax Pro and Team subscriptions and API credits made to Avancer, Inc. Payments are processed by Stripe. Guest access and the Free plan cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
If you have a separate written agreement with us, for example for Enterprise use, its payment and refund terms apply where they differ from this policy.
2. Pro and Team: 14-day money-back
You can get a full refund of a Pro or Team payment if you ask within 14 days of:
- your first Pro or Team payment, or
- any renewal payment, monthly or yearly.
When we refund a payment, the period it paid for ends, and your team continues on the Free plan. Your images and scan history stay in your account.
We may decline requests that abuse this policy, such as repeated cycles of subscribing and asking for a refund.
3. Canceling, and after 14 days
You can cancel Pro or Team at any time in your account, through the Stripe customer portal. Canceling stops future renewals, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your account also cancels your subscription.
Canceling does not by itself refund the current payment. If you are still within 14 days of that payment and want your money back, email us as described below.
After 14 days, payments are not refundable. We do not give partial or prorated refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it.
4. API credits
Unused API credits can be refunded if you ask within 14 days of the purchase. Credits that have been used are not refundable, and credit purchases are not refundable after 14 days, except where the law requires it.
5. Billing errors
If we charged you by mistake, for example a duplicate charge, the wrong amount or a charge after you canceled, tell us and we will correct it. This applies whenever you notice the error, not only within 14 days.
6. How to ask for a refund
- Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund request".
- Include the email address of your Perspicax account, what you bought (Pro or Team, monthly or yearly, or API credits) and the payment date.
- We review your request and reply by email.
Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method through Stripe. How long the money takes to reach you depends on your bank or card issuer. We cannot send a refund to a different card or account.
Prices are in US dollars. If your bank converted the payment into another currency, the amount you get back may differ slightly because of exchange rates or bank fees, which we do not control.
7. Chargebacks and your legal rights
Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. We can usually sort out a billing problem faster directly.
This policy does not limit any rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live. See also our Terms of service.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Changes do not affect refund requests made before the change.
