1. Who is responsible
The organisation that asked you to verify your identity (the requesting organisation) decides why your data is processed and is responsible for it. Avancer, Inc. operates Perspicax on its behalf.
2. What we process and why
ID card images (front and back), selfie frames and a short video-only liveness recording with no audio, the identity fields read from your card, and device and browser information — used only to verify your identity for the requesting organisation.
3. Automated decisions and screening
An automated, rule-based decision is made from the checks, with human review for borderline cases. Your name is always screened against the requesting organisation's internal watchlist and, where it has connected OpenSanctions, against sanctions and PEP lists; these lists are continuously updated, and a possible match is always reviewed by a person.
4. Who receives your data
The requesting organisation receives the outcome and the evidence behind it; regulators receive it where the law requires. Google Gemini processes images to read the card and detect fraud. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
Raw images and recordings are deleted after a short retention window; extracted fields and decision evidence are kept for the regulatory period.
6. Your rights
Under Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 you can ask for access to and correction of your data, withdraw your consent, and complain to the requesting organisation, to us or to the competent authority.

7. Cookies and storage
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies; the showcase page only remembers, for the open tab, whether you chose the 3D or the static view. During a verification, the applicant app keeps two things in your browser's session storage: a session token, so an interrupted session can resume, which your browser deletes when you close the tab; and small thumbnails of the photos you took, so you can review them before sending, which are removed when you submit your application or close the tab. Your language, sound and automatic-capture preferences are kept in your browser's local storage on this device.
Version history
The version in force when you tap Start is the one recorded with your session; a new version applies only to sessions started after it is published. To receive the full text of an earlier version, contact us.
